The Opera House, 1901, which opened on March 12th, is a spectacular heritage theatre with over one hundred years of rich history and cultural significance. Audiences of all ages enjoy classical concerts, stand-up comedy, theatrical performances, educational presentations and even rock and pop shows. The stage of the Opera House has been graced by such performers as Peter Paul and Mary, Donald Sutherland (who was both a set carpenter and actor at the Opera House) The Gatlin Brothers and Gordon Lightfoot, and has been visited by such dignitaries as Pierre Elliott Trudeau. The Gravenhurst Opera House has become the cornerstone of our arts, culture and heritage and is a perfect venue for corporate meetings and weddings.
